It would be about the way your eyes fade from blue to green.

and how the corners of your eyes gather when you smile.

and how I can't wait to see those eyes and that smile on my children one day.

it would be about how I can sit and watch the rain with you.

Doing nothing.

It would be about how I love to watch you do simple things.

And how I love it when you teach me how to do something new.

Or how I can't wait for you to come home when you leave.

If I could write you a love song it would be about how you like your tea in the morning,

how strong you are,

and how much mystery there still is.

If I could write you a love song,

it would be about how much I love you in blue jeans and flip flops,

how your hair curls around your ears,

how your faith is unfleeting,

or how much I love being yours.

But I know nothing of love songs.
