This has been a lovely weekend full of fun things, beautiful weather and not getting nearly enough things marked off my To-Do list - and that is perfectly alright with me.
Friday and Saturday at camp was cool (bordering on cold!) and beautiful. We made recycled paper beads for bracelets all day Saturday and hung out with the little Girl Scouts. It is always fun for me to sort of "get back to my roots" and remember why I love my job so much - and give so many hours to it every week. I ended up coming back sooner than I thought I was going to be able to and made it home around 3 pm-ish. it was nice being able to hang out with my guy for more of the weekend than I anticipated.
Church online this morning since Chad thinks he will still "scare the women and children" and then movies and catching up on our TV shows from last week. I meant to fold clothes and clean up the kitchen today and all that got done was the kitchen (and only that with some help from my dude).
Small group tonight without him wasn't the same but it was good. I enjoy our sweet small group - kids and all - and it is always good to be learning from other sweet Christian couples - and just generally doing life together.
Busy week this week...gotta work tomorrow night after going with Chad to his doctor's appt. Then he starts his new job with a computer class on Wednesday and official hours next Monday. I am a little sad about our time together getting cut off sharply but I am looking forward to this new season of change in our lives.

a sweet face. and some juice.
Chad and I just got back from the hospital where we got to meet the newest member of our small group family who has a perfect chin, a button nost, teeny tiny fingers and the most adorable dusting of dark hair on top. Emily and David had their sweet baby boy today and he really was super cute and perfect looking. I can't wait to be a part of his life as he grows up and as his parents teach him to love God and love people like they do. It's gonna be great!
On another - possibly much less exciting note - our Valentine's Day was quiet, sweet, and together...just the way I like it. We ate Chick-fil-a (don't hate. It is exactly what we wanted!) with every child-filled family in Chattanooga, stopped by Hobby Lobby, and came home to watch NCIS. We are exciting folks! Either way, my sweetie ordered me a juicer for Valentine's Day (really for life...I think he just says it is for Valentine's Day) and I am really looking forward to buying juicy fruits and veggies in bulk and upping my nutritious intake in the future. I am even thinking about doing a few days of a juice fast of sorts...I'll let you know if that happens and how it goes! I'm sure you will be interested...

still quiet.
I'm not doing so great at posting recently, mostly because life just goes on as normal sometimes. Work is normal, house is normal, animals are normal - of course, normal has many definitions.
Chad was out on a fire till around 11 last night and is back at it again tonight. We had plans to eat with Emily and David from our small group tonight because we were going to be the only 2 couples there tonight. It was foiled a little bit by Chad still being at work but I went anyway and I am glad I did. I got to experience Jet's Pizza for the first time (um...hello yummy!) and got to have great, uninterrupted conversation. Sometimes it is actually really fun to be the third wheel and to give and get undivided attention from such a great, sweet couple.
Chad and I have been offered a really cool opportunity to travel (for pleasure) this summer and we are pondering it really hard. It is sort of a once-in-a-lifetime sort of thing and we are having a little trouble making a decision - not because it wouldn't be amazing and fabulous and cool but there are just a lot of other sort of stinky "we are trying to be adults" parts of the decision too. I will share more details as we make our choice...obviously, if we decide to go, you are going to hear a LOT about it! As a teaser, I will have to get a new passport if we decide it is something we can do...

it is coming.
A post of beautiful N.C. pictures is coming, I promise. I got them all off my camera this morning (when I skipped the gym in favor of sleeping in - though I will have to go this afternoon). But I don't have time to go through them and figure out what is what and which ones are worth waiting through the painfully long upload time. Hopefully it will go quickly and you will get to see a bunch of them.
Busy day today...I MUST finish the script/speech/thing I have been working on. It is due tomorrow and I have another one to write before then. One that is longer. Lunch with a friend/volunteer, pick up Jessica's graduation/birthday present (shh...don't tell), make cupcakes tonight. Tomorrow is our Girl Scout Volunteer/Customer Appreciatin day at the store. Want a cupcake? Become our customer or volunteer and you can have as many as you want! :)
Good small group last night. We are all a little unsure of this video series we started last week - partly because of the rather strange presentation and partly because there are many parts of the topic that a majority of us seem to disagree with. However, it creates some really great discussions - last night was no exception - so if nothing else, we are definately getting something positive out of it. It is fun to be in a group with other couples who all have different personalities, been married different lengths of time and with different life experiences. I think it helps to create a really good melting pot of thoughts, ideas, theories, and just shows how our relationships with a Heavenly Father can all be so different and good at the same time.
Pictures tonight while the cupcakes cook and cool.
